This year I had the good fortune to contribute to The Economist’s annual publication of predictions and analysis titled The World in 2018. I was asked to illustrate a calendar spread that features curious and interesting events happening around the globe in 2018. In past editions, I have done a giant cartoon that tried to pack everything into a single image. This year we thought we’d try something different.
